Cancer
is a deadly disease which is generally incurable. But if proper
measures are taken at initial stage it can be controlled and healed.
There are different treatments available for cancer. Chemotherapy is
a chemical treatment used for cancer patients. Chemotherapy can be
used in initial stage as well as in advanced stage of cancer. Epoch
Chemotherapy is a kind of chemotherapy which is required for treating
complex cancer. This treatment is generally used when the tumors and
malignancies get worse due to bad health condition. As this treatment
will include many toxic drugs it may have few side effects on the
body of the patients.
Epoch
chemotherapy is the mixture of different toxic medicines. These drugs
sometimes react with the body and lead to many side effects. The
drugs which are included in this treatment are cyclo-phosphamide,
Etoposide, prednisone, doxorubicin and doxorubicin. But many doctors
feel that epoch chemotherapy is the best way to deal with cancer when
the situation gets worse. Epoch chemotherapy can deal very well if
the size of the tumors is large, as it helps to reduce the size of
the tumor, which can be further removed through surgery without any
difficulty. This treatment can be given at home at regular interval
as prescribed by the doctor.
Side
Effects of Epoch Chemotherapy Treatment
Epoch chemotherapy is used for the treatment of complicated cancer. This
treatment is required to inject many toxic drugs in the body of the
patient. These medicines may react with the healthy cells present in
the body and cause many side effects. Therefore doctor checks
whether the patient body is compatible with those drugs. He should
also make sure that he/she is not allergic to those toxic drugs. The common side effects found in cancer patients are: hair loss, nausea,
depression, loss of appetite etc.
We
all have a conception that cancer may be fatal; this statement is
not entirely false. But if proper treatment is given to the patient,
cancer can be eradicated and he/she can lead a healthy life by Gods
grace.
